That day... revisited Painting

“What you visualise... you materialise”. Painting is my favourite and most powerful visualisation technique. This is what I feel love should look like. In 2013 I drove to Saltburn and looking out to the sea I threw my wish for love into the water and spent the next 6 months painting the first in a series of paintings I’ve entitled ‘That day’. I started painting these when I decided I wanted to find my someone to love and share the rest of my life with. I found him and we’ve since been to the exact same place looking out onto the same horizon with our son. We threw a few new wishes into the water... I revisited this painting this year selecting warmer tones to reflect the deeper feelings of security love has brought to my life.
