About The Artwork
For this work I was inspired by this Berber women, more particularly the Amazigh and their incredible tattoos spread all over their body. I wanted to show how beautiful and captivating these elderly women, wearing their facial tattoos and their multitudes of patterns, are. I wanted to represent them and their tattoos, because this body art, which is a language in itself, has been singled out for too long.
