About The Artwork
The Arlington is the largest movie theatre in Santa Barbara. It is also one of the main venues for the annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival. The building was designed by the Santa Barbara firm Edwards and Plunkett. It was designed in the Mission Revival and the Spanish Colonial Revival Style. In the month of January and February you might see many well known actors walking down the red carpet. The Sbiff uses it to honor actors for their performances as seen in the painting, i.e. the Virtuoso Award.
