The Blue Kimono Painting

This is a water - colour painting based on a Vogue fashion shoot from the 1980's, an area I clearly remember! This particular Kimono was designed by Yohji Yamamoto. I love the serenity and closed-ness of the pose and the deep Indogo colour. The face of the model and her expression changed dramatically while I was painting it. I left it white/pale, almost unreal and ethereal. The water and my paintbrush decided to add devellish horns and a tail to the figure....the dark side! This artwork can be purchased framed in a white box frame with hanging hardware attached, or unframed (A4 size).
