About The Artwork
In the heart of the canyon there is usually water, which brings the dry country to life in an extraordinary way. The color green especially astounds, its blue and yellow tones exuberantly contrasted against the red stone walls. This piece is based on a spring walk through one of these canyons. Also pictured is my unchecked awe at the abundance of life force there. I have chosen gres fine Italian porcellananto tile and a reclaimed wooden frame to work on because they’re beautiful and stout.
