I created this painting taking as a model the statue of Charity by Bernini in St. Peter's and in particular a photo shoot by Antonietta Mulas that in a clever play of light and shadows made the drama and intensity of a face with a delicate expression. The colors of the photograph might be slightly different from the original painting.
