The falling leaves Painting

Born in 1959, at the city of Kolkata, India, I have lived there all my life and currently work for there only. The two distinct facets of myself: 1) A self-taught painter having held eight solo exhibitions of paintings so far in various metro cities of India, I specialise in the field of Abstract Expressionism. Fauvists and Abstract Expressionists like Matisse, Kandinsky, Klee, Asger Jorn have always inspired me in a great way to ignite the exuberance and vibration of raw sun-drenched colours, playing and inter-mingling almost on their own with all possible varieties of facets like the compositional elements of lines, forms, overall pictorial structures along with the viscosity and fluidity of the material of the paint itself. My paintings must instill an immediate and widespread impact over the viewer psyche and his/her innermost emotional chords, through its vibrational and penetrating qualities and tell him/her a new story on every occasion he/she looks at the painting. As we ourselves our the products of the nature itself and unified with all, at the very core of our beings the fluidity of the colour and the abstract expressionistic style goes hand in hand to produce the final effect. 2) Professionally, I am a qualified Chartered Accountant having served top corporates at the positions of chief of finance and finally became an Edupreneuer for the last 23 years, having set up Engineering and Management Colleges and Higher Secondary Schools and facilitated the formative life-journeys of about 26,000 students so far.
