About The Artwork
“The Ghost Cowboy” pays homage to the years I spent in a small farming community growing up. The farms and ranches that surrounded my family’s home were a young artist’s wonderland. I was enraptured in the beauty of the landscape! But the difficult and complex way of life, that farming is notorious for, equally intrigued me. When viewing “The Ghost Cowboy” very closely you can see the ghost of a third cowboy. I painted him to represent the old heritage and generational craft of ranching.
