About The Artwork

‘Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.’ - Pablo Picasso As a young girl I loved to create images in the clouds. Living in the prairies the vast open skies became my canvas. I created as an act of love and connection and allowed the Universe to dream through me, to act through me, to create through me. While daydreaming in the open fields I never felt alone. Unknowingly I was fulfilling creative elements of my life and moving toward a garden for creative ideas. The sculpture Hearing the Music (Young Girl Lying on the ground) by Marilyn Panto is a bronze of 2ft 2in in height (approx. 66cm). Marilyn Panto is an accomplished portrait British sculptor whose commissioned work is spread around the world, and who revels in depicting the human form in all its mood.
