About The Artwork

This was inspired by my interest in the history of my hometown. It is based on exhaustive research of archives and maps to provide an accurate representation of the town of Dearborn during the Civil War. It shows the contradiction that even during war peace can be found. A richness of colors highlights the landscape to bring it to life. It is currently framed by a slim golden toned wood with hanging wire attached and a brown paper backing.
