The House, the garden, the dog Painting

My paintings I offer at Saatchiart I summarize under the title "home". I work with photo albums of my own family, with photographies that I get from clients or with photos that I purchase. Many of the works which are included in this series I draw in oil on burlap. Burlap is a very raw material and I think it fits well to illustrate a time that no longer exists. Because I´m interested in every person, it´s attitude, it´s charisma and it´s setting I work a long time on every detail. I´m interested in pictures which affect me and which remind me of my own childhood in diffrent aspects. I wonder, if every generation has it´s collective feeling of home beside the privat way everyone follows. I had to draw this picture because it affects me how this family positioned themselves to document this afternoon. What were they focused on? What did they want to present? What were the relationship between the persons? These are only a few questions I meditated on while working on this drawing.
