The Last Podium Painting

I have noted on other paintings of mine that I never set out to create anything in particular, rather I let the art happen to itself. This is true more than ever on this piece. If I'm being honest, and I am, I cannot even remember painting this one. It's here with a stack of other paintings from the same time frame but I am drawing 100% blank on this one. Usually my memory is hazy but not like this. I don't particularly care for the way I feel when I'm looking at it either. So dark and scary. What I DO like is that my technical skills have improved dramatically and this painting is possibly my best example of technical skills, of which up until this point thought I had zero of.
