About The Artwork

One of eight literary figures from the story CARNIVAL by Isak Dinesen. Eight people dressed up, men dressed as women, women dressed as men, discussing gender, sex, and love. Who are we? "By thy mask I shall know thee," Isak Dinesen points out. Carnival, when all men and women are equal behind the mask. How to know ourselves and be ourselves is our biggest challenge in life. Isak Dinesen was inspired by the fairytale writer Hans Christian Andersen and I am inspired by both.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

My work is part of Nordic storytelling. I am inspired by fairytale, folklore, and ancestry. I express how our identity is formed in childhood, and how we are shaped to be who we are at that time. I find inspiration in literally figures, such as Hans Christian Andersen, Karen Blixen, and Søren Kierkegaard. I explore affiliation and where and how we belong.
