She is working with David Hockney RA for glass art to be installed in Westminster Abbey in 2018. Helen worked with artist Hughie O'Donoghue RA to translate his designs into the final glass artwork in 2013. She is a Fellow of the British Society of Master Glass Painters (FMGP). Helen creates eye-catching and engaging artwork in a variety of styles: Figurative, Abstract and Sculptural. Helen is Creative Director at Barley Studios, York, England. Most of Helen's work is by commission. She is a Court Member of the Worshipful Company of Glaziers, a leading ancient Livery Company of the City of London, first recorded in 1328. She is a Craft Scholar of the Prince’s Foundation and a tutor for the Prince’s School of Traditional Arts. His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales is the President of both organisations. Helen is multi-talented artist. She has studied a wide range of traditional crafts and produced works in many formats including miniature painting, stone carving, calligraphy, mosaics, icon painting, gilding and stained glass. Helen’s work can be seen in prestigious buildings throughout the UK, including Westminster Abbey London, the Royal Air Force Club, London and St Mary’s Priory Church, Abergavenny, as well as private homes. Helen has been attending life drawing classes throughout her career and finds the discipline of drawing and painting from life invaluable to her life as an artist.
