The Royal Bengal Painting

I am Deepmala Roy from Lexington, SC. I originally come from the North Eastern part of India. My tryst with colors comes from my genes and has never received any training of any kind when it comes to paint. From my childhood I was inspired by the artistic bouquet that my family presented to each other. Growing up in the picturesque state of Nagaland in NE India, on the foothills of the Himalayas, also offered me the panache of nature which inspired me to pick up the brushes and canvas-capture all the views around me. Through the formative years education took the front seat , however, this tryst with colors survived in me at my mind palace as my first choice while music came a close second where I have been trained formally. Taking the break from work during my childbirth and the entire length of pregnancy is the time which I spent with myself and decided to become the full time canvas lady . My background and my mental wanderlust is the power behind churning out my each and every canvas that you will see in my collection. My style of artwork is Formal , Free style , Nature and Portraits while Perspectives also intrigue me. I always put life to my painting which in turn would make your household lively. I have been featured in the Lexington district main library art exhibitions and Anderson Arts Center SC. I have done some commissioned work in the Columbia, SC as well.
