The Story Behind the Story, Edition 1 to 10 Painting

This work uses contrasts of color, shape, and texture to reveal the complexity of what we are told and suggests that what are told is largely deceptive when only listened to in terms of its content rather its structure (which may be cognitively immature). The stories shared with us, most of them reassuring, have at least one other story behind them that is less than reassuring. The flashiness of what our attention is drawn to should lead us to ‘think twice’. In the real world, there is nothing reassuring to be found, except for our own resolve to develop our potential for clear thinking. The work is printed on Hot Press Fine Art Smooth Bright White paper (an acid free, 100% cotton rag media with a bright textured finish, yielding an extremely high color gamut and black density). It is signed and numbered by the artist, accompanied by a CoA, and shipped without hanging hardware, in a very sturdy tube protected against folding and puncture.
