VIEW IN MY ROOM
"The Studio" is where I spend my time. Inspired by Henri Matisse's interior paintings, each painting hanging on the wall is painted in detail. "The Rain", "The Library" and " Me in High School" are all paintings that were in my possession. The unfinished self portrait represents my journey as being unfinished. I am shown here thinking about what my next painting is going to be. "The studio" is an opportunity to capture my 17 y/o self. The studio is my safe space. I can spend hours there, away from all the distractions. Through my work, people are slowly opening up to me, accepting me and making my work as part of their world. I am often accompanied by my black and white cat, Woody.
