About The Artwork
This work of art, by Tanya Yvette, is inspired by two primary sources. The first is of an antique pendant motif depicting a tree (The Tree of Life), growing in The Garden of Eden, whose fruit imparts eternal life. The second inspiration is derived from an old growth Oak tree, situated in Miami's precious Fairchild Tropical Garden. The Oak has been contained in its portrayal to fit within the antique pendant design. It is adorned with genuine gold leave (outlining circle) and silver leaf (spanish moss). The work symbolizes the sanctity of natural preservation.
