About The Artwork

The Web Because they cover the attention of the Paulistana night, and are silent icons for their masks and fillings, investigations emerge that highlight them in all the urban spaces belonging to a world where they can be crossed by being human. Wrapping each icon researched physically, from an assembly, within an imaginary and non-existent environment, comparing the exposed images of Draggies, with those of famous models, of paid advertisements for requested beers, printed everywhere, making a chronicle and causing a noise about male virility and female guarantees, thus forcing the unexpected coexistence of dolls full of light and talent, erased by rivalry. The transvestite's body has the audacity to experience itself as unfinished. With the camera, we find this body that folds and unfolds, free from this spatial drowsiness that reduces our gaze to the feminine and masculine as definitive parameters. The camera is able to privilege what is seen over what is known. We bet on it to be surprised and thus expose the perceptual strategy that irrevocably seeks fixed values. The camera and the transvestite belong to the same orbit. Presenting images, which start to be portrayed, initially through the retina, as material of something implicit and not explicit, where it comes to be documented with this I argue positive and negative points of figures that constitute in form, object, virtuality, unreality, and reality, making distant proximity. Portraits from the dead of night, serving as a resource for freezing a situation, which due to the incredible change of each day, becomes a celebrity just like a relic, storing scenes of different characters in one body, presenting a real structure, with mutant characteristics. Following additional assemblies and processes, the Draggies are introduced in various media, making sure that there is no difference between day and night and moved to other places, which do not lose the continuous appearance of their environment, called the world " trash ", by people used to living around them. The Draggie Queens, can be compared to spiders, who live retreated in hiding places, building their own nest, on loom wires, letting their catches come to them by wrapping themselves in different novelties, in a den of unusual experiences and challenges in the face of poisonous substances and proposals that actually occurred.
