Sometimes it comes in the form of a dream or simply a presence there to guide and protect us. Other times in the form of a particular animal bringing a specific message or as situations and experiences that we’re put through, often to guide us to learn a certain lesson so we may continue to grow. Sometimes it comes in the stories Elders pass onto the future generations as it was passed on to them. And, so very often it comes as pieces over time. Other times as full messages all at once. If we are wise, we learn to listen for this wisdom no matter what form it may hold. Sometimes we have questions burning inside us, making us anxious to find the answers. But sometimes part of the lesson we must learn is that the answers will come when they’re supposed to. Sometimes we must find more pieces of the puzzle or take the time we need to heal before we are ready to receive the answers we seek. We must learn to be patient and trust the answers will come when they are meant to, and sometimes when we receive no answer it is because we’re either not supposed to know yet. Sometimes the answers and messages come when we’re least expecting it, and no matter when they come, we must remember to keep listening and to be willing to receive them no matter what they may be. Trust the ancestors and listen for their wisdom. Whether we are dancing or singing, working or playing, and going through good times or hard times, the ancestors are always with us. And, you will find they will bring you messages in many forms, sometimes as messages of strength and courage when we are uncertain, sometimes as gentleness when we have become too harsh in one way or another, and sometimes to remind us to be kind, generous, understanding, and always respectful of one another for we are all brothers and sisters with every single living being.
