About The Artwork
The image is one of those that I accumulate to document these years of the lives of my children and their summer friends, whom I see growing frame by frame; It is a repetition of the gesture of our parents when they took photographic records of our childhoods. It is painted on wood with acrylic, and invigorated with thin layers of oil in the deepest shadows, and impastos to accentuate some light. The chromatic charm of the painting lies in the opposition of the colors yellow and blue.
