The last gate of humanity Painting

This painting was created someday, thinking at the great changes the humankind is going trough now, this century, this millennium. I am born in a small village in east Romania, the home of an ancient civilization called Cucuteni-Trypillian culture, dated , by some historians, aprox 5000 B.C. This civilization of artists and artisans liked to paint their houses, pottery and jewelery with initiation symbols carrying a very secret universal wisdom. This symbols passed, along the years , into people customs and today they can be found in Romanian traditional costumes and in the rural old architecture. After leaving my country, missing my birth places, I got so much closer in understanding many things that I never even thought before. Directly or indirectly, this philosophy influenced sculptors like Constantin Brancusi, and many other Romanian or non Romanian artists, and they are influencing my art as well.
