About The Artwork

This painting I created followed my trip to Holland, I was fascinated by the rythm and elegancy of the Hollands' mills and used this motive in other my paintings. As always I try to capture the beauty of every place I have ever visited so it remains in my mind not only as a fotorecording but as emotional impression as well. This painting is unframed. Please contact me if more detailed foto is needed. The size of painting (45.5x36cm) refers to the painted part but the sheet includes the white border so the full size of the list is 38cmx56cm.

I am watercolor artist born in Russia but living in Italy (Lombardy) last 9 years. I graduated from St. Petersburg Chemical-Pharmaceutical Academy but several years ago I started drawing and painting as a hobby, then I have passed through several courses dedicated to painting in watercolor and now I am studying at Milan Academy of Art (classical drawing and painting). Starting november 2020 I am a member of Italian Association of Watercolor Artists (Associazione Italiana Acquerellisti AIA). I have participated in several international on-line and off-line exhibitions of Watercolor (participant certificate is available per request). My prefereed subject was and remain the nature around me. I take a lot of inspiration also from my trips within Italy and abroad, in every place I find some beauty that I try to capture in my painting. I especially enjoy painting en plein-air due to this unique interaction you have with the subject at the moment of painting. I also like painting still life. Recently I have started painting portraits with pencil and charcoal which I found incredibly interesting as it makes my artistic experience more vast and help me to know the people's nature deeper.
