About The Artwork

After my "bad paintings serie" (The Trip), I could feel my energy at another level, more subtile and elaborate even if I continued painting mostly with hands and fingers. Once the first painting was "finished", I was unhappy with the lack of space and dimensional occupancy I felt, compared to the amount of perspective I could see and understand, coming from the canvas. Someting came naturally to me : wool roots, surnatural veins coming directly from the painting, plugged in our reality or communicate with it, or getting nourished by our dimension. But somehow there needed to be one last spark of fun to transcend the so-called seriousness of it all. I imagined the painting in a house with cats running wild with the wool strings, having fun with it, destroying the work of art that would be thrown away in a chaotic manner. I used the term “dyslexic abstraction” to make a funny nod to the “syntaxic abstraction” painting movement which is very, very far from my skills.
