About The Artwork
I was inspired by Maurice Ravel his Sleeping Beauty Pavana which is full of contradictions, oddities, miracles and discoveries. Pavana is a ballroom dance designed to show the sophistication of manners. But Ravel's music sounds more like a folk lullaby. And I was interested in these inconsistencies and secrets. I wanted to create a picture also consisting of many untold stories, mystery and magic clues.
