About The Artwork

This work I’ve started in spring of pandemic 2020. Fish look on the new in a different ways. Some stays still and is waiting, some is trying to get closer to watch and others need to breathe and try to get the oxygen on the surface. Everyone decides himself how to reflect on what is happening. I love the world of fish and in the blue tones of water and smooth gloss of fish’s scales I’ve found the peace and aesthetic enjoyment. It helped to accept the hard circumstances of pandemic year and look at it in a through my art. Deep underwater there is a beautiful and peaceful world of many crossroads. I love to combine the different styles and here you find the decorative echoes of Ancient Greek ceramic art and the Japanese graphic in the depiction of water surface and the realistic feeling of the see depths. Picturesque blue color of this piece will become the anchor of peace and relaxation in your interior. Oil painting on canvas Unique work of art Size: 60 × 30 × 6 cm The work has a name and is signed on the reverse and front sides, and also has a certificate of authenticity.

I am an artist born in Moscow and it's my home. I work with, oil, watercolor and mosaic. Portraits, landscapes and sometimes genre scenes are the focus of my artistic interests. The heroes of my portraits are imaginary persons, the fruits of my immersion in the creative process, and mirror my inner state or sometimes are its antagonists. I find a lot of inspiration in Medieval, Byzantium, late Egyptian art. Its conventional spiritual language which was to express the inexpressible, visualize the invisible, I transform into modern materials such as watercolor and oil. Morandi and the artists of Ecole de Paris such as Modigliani, Picasso, Matisse, Villon, Bonard had a big impact on my approach. Many of them praised what western world now call "primitive arts" and invented the language of contemporary art. In my landscapes I’m searching for a state of a gorgeous moment, understatement and aesthetic of a pause between the depicted objects which creates the very tension and uniqueness of the moment.
