"Thea" mixed media street art Painting

This "Thea" mixed-Media street art is in excellent newly produced condition. I take portrait photographs which then turn them into modern street art. It is hard to categorize my work as one thing specifically as it falls under: Pop art, Contemporary Portrait art, Mixed Media art, and street art. This painting is based on a photo of one of my favorite girls to shoot with, Bethiye. The original photo had such a great mood to it. I had played around with the juxtaposition, doing a lighter painting with gold on it to try to lighten the mood, and then I decided to really go deeper into the mood with this painting. I wanted to make this piece of art feel moody and almost like you can feel her soul.  First and foremost, I am a photographer. How I work is conceptualize a photoshoot and then shoot it, based off of what the shoot is about. If I happen to get any images with the correct lighting and the correct mood, I will turn it into a screen. I do not like to control the photoshoot for the sake of my screens, I want it to come naturally. When I am inspired I will go down into my studio and experiment with mixed media just to see how it comes out.
