“Set your mind free, you are only as free as you think.”

I have been an optimist all my life. I see the good in the worst situations, opportunities in every difficulty. But with everyone around engrossed in their day-to-day problems, it’s not always easy. I hear about someone losing the love of their life, some talking about their sick dog, others deeply concerned about their financial troubles.

Our lives are filled with challenges that make it difficult to be positive sometimes. But being locked inside your mind and worrying only makes the situation worse. One negative thought leads to another and before you know it, you find yourself amidst the vicious circle of depression with no clue about how to break it. Worry gives small things a big shadow.

I wish to tell my near and dear ones to free their mind from worries. Most of those scenarios that we play over and over in our minds never see the light of day. I want to tell them to set their mind free, as we are only as free as we think. Our problems are really our blessings if we use them to grow stronger. We must not allow the clock, the calendar, or any external pressures to rule our lives and blind us from the fact that each individual moment of our lives is a beautiful miracle.

At one such occasion this year, my thoughts poured out on a canvas. My artwork ‘Think Free’ is my message to everyone around me, to free their mind and let go, explore the amazing opportunities the world has to offer, without limiting your dreams to what a tiny little 6 inch brain can contain. Expand your horizon - dance with the stars and fly with the birds. Take a moment to appreciate what you have, love the beautiful little things around you, bring a smile to someone's face. It will brighten your day and lighten your heart!

For me, crafting this artwork was euphoric and a highly satisfying experience. Life is simple, if we don’t complicate it and ‘Think Free’ echoes it through its minimalist style. I would be delighted if my art is able to help anyone break free from the negative thoughts and help relieve their anxiety. I wish it encourages viewers to paint the world with your imagination and remember that without the dark, we'd never see the stars. The sky takes on shades of orange during sunrise and sunset, the color that gives you hope that the sun will set only to rise again.

Pull your arms into the daylight,
And give them the wings to fly.
Get on that runway called life,
Then take off towards the sky.
Dreams are the voice to be heard,
Details may seem blurry to thy eye.
The future of success is waiting for you,
Promise yourself that you’ll try.
“Set your mind free, you are only as free as you think.”
