Three Tin Cans Painting

David Stuart, long fascinated by the beauty and complexity of the plant world, has painted and drawn them on and off since childhood. Born in London, he now lives partly in the Scottish Borders, or in Edinburgh. Still collecting plants, he uses paint, drypoint, silk screen and digital methods to portray the splendours of the plant world. Most of his images are derived from his own garden. He would love to be able to draw like Durer, simplifiy as stylishly as Ellsworth Kelly, be as sumptuous as Matisse, and as rigorous as Ruskin.
