Through the Wasteland Painting

In Deuteronomy 32:10 states "He found him in a desert land, And in a howling waste of a wilderness; He encircled him; He cared for him, He guarded him as the pupil of His eye." The reference to wilderness or wasteland can reference "the state of the sinner." The scriptures indicate that it is God who seeks after people, not the other way around. In the busyness of living we are so often unaware of how much God cares about our every need and situation. You may meet the Lord in His house, but He is there with you on the road as well. I also feel like it speaks to predestination. I believe a lot of people have prayed for me throughout my life. When I think of the close calls I have had before I committed my life to Christ, I feel like this particular verse really fits that and brings it home for me. In this particular artwork I loved working with the alcohol inks, blending them with the acrylics.
