This little work, was done during the strict isolation due to the epidemic in the spring of 2020. We were all sitting at home, and the only way we could communicate with the real world was to look out of the window. I recently moved to a new apartment, and I got as many as five new Windows! I was very happy with this, and watched the light and color from the window, as it changes everything around. Quick study is made in the style of impressionism. The picture was made from memories and photos this spring of 2020, while in isolation. I had run out of clean canvases, and there was no fast delivery in the stores, and the thought of work kept me awake. And I decided to use a poster made of artificial canvas on a stretcher, bought once in IKEA. This is a small unique touch, a reminder of the current difficult times. Oil painting on canvas. IRINA MARKEVICH Hi, I am Irina Markevich - a professional artist and designer. I've been designing clothes for 20 years, but for the last few years, I'm having a serious passion for painting. I cannot do without creation. It will allow me to express on canvas all the amazing discoveries in the field of metaphysics, cosmogony and other mysteries that I am starting to discover step by step. I do a lot of sketches, paint landscapes or create unusual compositions. Different places of our planet, meetings, people and events give me completely different impressions - and correspondingly different techniques of execution Sometimes I just don't have the patience to wait for the moment when I can finally draw. I started with small formats, but now I have moved to oil and acrylic painting on large canvases. I devote a lot of time to spiritual practices and self-development. This experience helps me to be realized in creativity. I love color and light, its shades and iridescence. I like to try new materials and techniques, mix them in the most unusual variations. I do not want to limit myself and create art objects in several directions. Abstract painting on impressions from my trips. Graphic compositions on very exciting topics for me. History - that's what I call a series of works with a fabulous. Landscapes and sketches from travels. Perhaps over time all this will merge into one style, but while I'm looking for, and fruitfully working in all directions. I've always been interested in questions: Where does the universe end? What is infinity? The statement that the beauty of art and knowledge is a universal international language, a language that we can speak even through time. My favorite science is physics. But at the same time, I am interested in spiritual knowledge and practices. I read a lot and explore the world. Inner discoveries, the energy that appears in these moments and requires a splash – this is the basis of my creativity. I just can't help but draw, write. I feel physically bad when I do not work for a long time with paints and brushes. Pastel or at least a simple pencil. I am happy that I live in a time of freedom of information, freedom of movement and travel, freedom of creativity. My paintings are a symbiosis of everything that happens in my soul, the search for answers to questions, the brightest impressions of the knowledge gained, and the beauty seen.
