Painting: Acrylic, Paint on Canvas.
Together - the paper airplanes are a metaphor for a couple or any relationship; parent child, siblings etc.. This painting spawned from my Collection 20 Series painted at Anderson Ranch Arts Center, summer 2017.
I hope the viewers interpret the painting exactly how they want to understand it. There are no hard rules with my art and I hope this painting brings much joy.
I have been working on self awareness which leads to boundary setting and relationships thus the composition with two paper airplanes. I choose acrylic because I like how quickly it dries and it allows me to make washes
of color on top of old layers where a bit of color peaks through.
