Too much (count the faces) Painting

One of my larger works, which was ever so fun to paint. In this, I played around a lot with playful bright and primary colors, contrasting shades of peach, teal and bright yellow with darker undertones within faces. We see and come across so many faces and so much talk and information these days, we are often overwhelmed with the chaos. While each individual voice, judgement, image and comment may seem equally important, appealing or entertaining, we receive so much sensory imput that almost every day, we take in too much - making our minds more and more crowded and making it difficult to distinguish between what is truly important and meaningful versus what is just bright and colorful "noise". I wanted to explore that phenomenon in this painting, the result of which draws one's attention while being overly busy and riotous, almost impossible to sift through all of the imput. Just like our modern world of information and media.
