About The Artwork
An otherworldly landscape with a group of figures crossing (space? time? both?), clad in the glowing blue energy field of their own. I've set my imagination free again with this one. Something about the figures makes me think of certain pieces of WIlliam Blake's - that and of one specific Japanese psychedelic collective ; which forms a spectrum of inspirations I'm rather fond of... Oil, etching inks, pigments and natural resins on gessoed mdf wood panel. Some parts of the painting are in significant relief, since also dry mineral pigments and thick impasto having played their part in the creative process. The work is varnished, signed on the front and aditionally on the back Comes framed in black wooden boxframe and ready to hang.
