Trying to Sort it All Out Painting

Update: Second prize winner, International Art Magazine, Abstract/Experimental Art, April/May 2023 Edition, Issue 150. I'd had in mind for a few years a means of pouring paint onto a canvas, getting a particular effect. After trying different methods I finally have been able to get the effect I envisioned. An added pleasant surprise is that there is also a variable of texture added as the tempera dried thick, so I'm really pleased with this. This small piece emerged in the midst of juggling so many different aspects of life - in the thick of the pandemic, ecological crisis, personal challenges - this quite reflected the feeling of the time for me. Staying cool. just sorting things out, and trusting that the universe is still a basically good place. Someone pointed out that it looks sort of like Miro. I can see that, and take it as a complement.
