"Sunset Reflections" is a modern, hard-edge, geometric painting of varying shades of teal, black converging to an electric orange center. During the pandemic, I struggled with the quarantine and how restrictive it was. This piece is part of a collection created during that time. The collection represents the places in which I wanted to travel but couldn't. My emotions were racing to get out and that is reflected in my color choices...very vibrant. My paintings in large scale represent my desire to get out of these confined spaces. Full size 52H x 36W inches. A wooden bar is attached at the top with D-rings on back to hang like a tapestry. It consists of 3 canvas pieces. This painting ships in a tube. This makes it really safe for oversized art and provides lower shipping costs.

As a minimalist artist, I find inspiration in capturing the essence of Earth's organic elements through silhouettes and simplified shapes. I celebrate the inherent beauty of rock formations, flowers, and water, blending well-defined shapes with expansive negative spaces to create intriguing compositions. ~~ Bio Laura Welshans is a multi-media abstract artist residing in Little Rock, Arkansas. She has exhibited her artwork in juried group shows like the 61st Delta Exhibition of the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts and The Other Art Fair in Dallas and Chicago as well as showcased her work in numerous solo exhibitions throughout her home state of Arkansas. She received a fellowship from Artist INC and selected for the Jen Tough Gallery Collective in Santa Fe, NM. Her work belongs to collections including CARTI Cancer Center and The Haywood Hotel. Laura shares her passion by teaching at the CreatorFest summer camp. She has received juried art awards and included in many publications.
