Some different stories mention that they lived on Cape Pelorum or the island of Anthemusa, now on the islands of Sirenus near Paestum, or Capreae. All of these places are described as surrounded by cliffs and cliffs. The sailors who wandered around, fascinated by the song of the sirens, drove their ships to the cliffs and fell prey to the sirens...
