Unexpressed Painting

This acrylic painting is on stretched canvas on wooden frame and can be hanged directly. Canvas sides are painted as well. This painting is a depiction of mental health or a phase, which most of us go through at some point of time. Sometimes we don't know how to express or sometimes our circumstances don't allow us to express openly. Colors of painting are chosen not only for their aesthetical impact but also for their meaning. I painted it in two very strong colors of the world, black and white, to show the inner battle of two powerful forces within human mind, dark emotions and light (which is representing hope, and faith) Two faces in opposite direction representing conflicting state of mind. One wish to scream to express everything its going through but other simultaneously have to remain calm to prevent complete breakdown and to maintain life. Also, at first glace I made woman's hair all tied up in a bun decently but they are still disheveled too, which is showing her tiredness due to efforts of keeping it together and how hard is she trying.
