Unfinished (Elbe) Painting

Born in London and now resident in Dresden, my work is informed by my background in Astrophysics and Music. I am also a guitarist and synthesist. In addition to DJing around the world and organising various events and festivals in the UK and Germany, I've been a mainstay at Intergalactic FM with various radio shows since 2009 and before that was an early internet radio pioneer with Magic Waves Radio. I've had a lifetime of creative activity both in the visual and sonic arts, and a number of albums and EPs released, most notably as 4-D Traveller. Sound Art, Synthesis and Soundtrack work (as well as running various labels - Per Musica Ad Astra, Magic Waves, Cyber Dance, among others) have been my passion and work for many years now. I'm always inspired by Cosmology, Astronomy, Physics, Nature, Geometry, Abstract Expressionism, the Avant-Garde, Psychology, Philosophy, Mythology, Spiritualism, Shamanism, Psychedelia, Art Nouveau, Surrealism and Symbolism. Key visual influences are Franz Marc, August Macke, Der Blaue Reiter, Die Brücke, the so-called "Degenerate Art" of the early 20th Century, Byzantine Art, Hilma af Klint, Tamara de Lempicka, Lee Krasner, Jackson Pollock, Salvador Dali, Joan Miro, Pablo Picasso, William Blake, Henri Matisse, Edgar Froese, Syd Barrett, Barney Bubbles, Futura 2000. After 25 years of making visual art purely for myself I've decided to make some of it public. If I had to give it a name I would call it "Neue Kosmische", the same as my musical approach.
