About The Artwork
My work was inspired by the need to contemplate the moments of passage and evolution in our lifes. A group can become one and one can become more. The phenomenon of group migration is characteristic to animals and humans, it is determined by an external and and an internal movement. The painted shapes are in the same time unique and similar, they may represent groups of flying birds, insects, ideas, angels or other beings. The golden leaf separates the space from the actors, it represents an ideal place, as in the old Antiquity and Byzantine art. The painting is a passage towards time, a dialogue between contemporary painting and historical aspects of the image.
