SANJEEV MIRAJKAR , I am an Artist from India, Born in Mumbai, Maharashtra Obtained B.F.A. and M.F.A in Fine Arts from the Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai. I have participated in numerous groups shows, international & national Art camps and Three solo shows. My Art works are in collection with many Art collectors & reputed Art galleries in India and abroad Experience of more than 22 years in the field of Visual Arts. My award includes 1) Silver Medal in annual art Show Sir J. J. School of Art 2) Maharashtra state Art award 3) AIFACS, 4) Bombay Art Society award, 5) Lalibai Dharamdas Bhambhani Scholarship at Bombay Art Society Annual Art Exhibition 2020. * has juried various Annual Art competitions of art collages. RECENT ACHIEVEMENT 1) an Art work Got selected for India - Korea 2nd Biennale 2022. 2) Made an Oil colour Portrait of Mr.Pallonji Mistry from Shapoorji Pallonji Group. 3) Invited for an Art Camp at Chinmaya Vibhuti, Kolvan, by Art Heart from 22nd August to 27th August 2023. MY BURNING DRSIRE IS TO: become a well-known Artist in the world, my art work should be part of MoMA’s Art collection by 2028 SOME INTRESTING FACTS ABOUT ME: plays Djembe an African drum in Satsang Bhajans. Learned Tabla for a year. Yoga, Meditation, Swimming, Cycling, Hiking & Bike ride. About my Art Practice As an Artist, during the process of meditation I experience hollow and empty space in my mind, body and extremely relaxing experience which eludes language. My art work is a result of an intense urge to capture and represent this inner subconscious experience, and to translate it into the language of art. Through my art I try to offer space to this mystifying void I experience during meditation. My works apart from the mediation experiences are also characterized by the perceptual notes being made by me about the nature and surroundings while in tranquility, and later transforming them in to minimalistic and simplistic form. I further intend to come out with Art Works depicting such feelings through natural forms, in addition to the man-made objects. Further, I want to explore this journey with various Mediums.
