About The Artwork

Vajrapani (tyb. Phyag – na rDo –rje] , one of eight Bodhisattvas who belongs into Eight Great Spiritual Sons Close to Buddha (tyb. Nya ba’I Sras - chen brGyad]. These are Spiritual Sons (tyb.Thugs – sras] which are emanations of Dhjani – Buddhas. They are presents in the decoration of Bhoddisattwas, and jewels of wisdom . Bodhisattvas are presented on lotus thrones in the position satwwasana, called a position of Bodhisattvas (tyb. Bhyangs –chubs Sems – pa’i bZhugs]with a slightly bowed legs, and hidden footing of their foot. The one on the picture is Vajrapani( tyb. Phyag - na rDo – rje] possessive of the Vajra. Holding in right hand Vajra symbolizes pure, as diamond, comprehension. Being an emanation of The Dhjani - Buddha Akshobhia Vajrapani represents a Force. In the left hand he has a bell (Gantha)- which symbolizes a vacuum nature of all existence.
