About The Artwork
When I walk on a small mountain crest from above, the landscape becomes a world in itself, and my feeling is awakened at the sight of this spectacle of nature. I feel all the thrust of the earth which brings all these plots to life, nourishes them and makes them vibrate up to the sky. I wanted to paint the landscape with these feelings that tint them. The canvas is rich in material, a little thick, if you stroke it it is full of reliefs. I painted with a knife, dripping, with a brush, and even with my fingers! It vibrates "alive", it is joyful, and moving. The sky is pink, as sometimes it is at the end of the day! But we see here that our earth is teeming with beautiful corners, and the eye is invited to visit them all.

After obtaining her diploma in Decorative Arts in Paris, Nathalie Grenier chose the path of painting and very quickly exhibited her work. It is thanks to the project of the book Via Appia bringing together six engravings on plexiglass and a text by Michel Butor edited in 1995 that his work began to be noticed. Then in 1997, Nathalie Grenier exhibited her personal work for the first time in galleries in Paris,Bruxelles, with strong oils on canvas, but also drawings in Indian ink and engravings, in dark tones. The color appeared in his painting with the blue of the series of swimmers. Then color asserted itself in my Art following a residency in Tangier. In 2002, I turned to the landscape, the gardens, the flowers in lush tones. Today, I work closely with my artistic life and my family in country side in France.
