Vessel Painting

When I started asking the question: 'How do I stop caring about what other people think?' She said: 'Change your focus'. Suddenly I'm attracted to points where there's a change in direction. Perpendicular lines, lines that become their own opposite. Something took over the day this piece came. An elevated energy spoke to me and moved my hands. It kept showing me how my body can potentially change directions. It can be what it has been up until now and then change to go onto its natural progression. It can become a vessel for new life entirely. The body is a vessel of love, creativity, passion, heritage, history, expansion, life. I wish that everyone gets to experience and celebrate their bodies in whatever stage in life we find ourselves. And allow and accept its progression, as messy and dirty as it can be, with grace and forgiveness.
