I live in a small Breton village by the sea. Every day, I walk the path that runs along the sea and each day the color of the water differs, sometimes exotic, sometimes freezing and dark. Blue is a color that crosses the ages and whose symbolism is very strong. Moreover, many artists have used it, I am thinking in particular of Yves Klein's blue, who said that the color blue is the one that is the most abstract of all colors. For me it represents escape and tranquility as Kandinsky said “Blue is a celestial color in essence. The ultimate sensation it creates is that of rest ". It promotes reflection and meditation which represents my creative process because my work always revolves around a search for decompartmentalization between art and crafts. Thus this work is composed of strips of dried and woven acrylic paint.

Using a colored palette, I paint by exploring interventionist methods: weaving, gluing, folding, layering, winding, cutting, on a raw material which is none other than the paint itself. This is considered as a subject in itself where its consistency and its intrinsic properties are put forward. Because I have a certain passion for handling painting and an extreme curiosity for artisanal techniques such as weaving or pattern design. So rather than dissociating them and having to choose between one and the other, I try through my works to correlate the two. It emerges from it a play of colors and linear or curved shapes very in relief in the finished product of my works. This aesthetic of structure and arrangement highlights the similarities between art and craftsmanship. As much one as the other allows to build, to experiment, to release, and to ritualize. My production space becomes meditative, time becomes a creative element, and the gesture is no longer just a know-how but also serves to give birth to a contemplative work. In my work, there is an approach of decompartmentalization by pooling skills. I want my painting to be as understandable as possible to allow people to participate. As Bernard Frize underlined during one of his conversations "I think that the joy I have for my practice comes from sharing it".
