About The Artwork

The curves of Gondola are so unique in boat design. Looking at the curve of the waves, there are resemblance. It look like these row boats were designed for the open sea. If the sea does not make waves, these gondolas would. They were there to make sure visitors would have a ride on the waves, a romantic ride with the ocean. Another way to look at them is they have a shape of concave moon. In this case, visitors would have a moon ride, a romance with the moon! They also look like a big smile on the ocean! .. whatever way looking at them.. they are fun. Adding to these smiles, the moving curtains look like hands waving to friends! Techniques of watercolours were used to captures features of boats and buildings, liveliness of water and freshness of the air!
