Using the face of the popular Queen Idia mask in his new series of works, Oyelade Oyewole portrays his models as persons of great importance and potential. But unlike Queen Idia who fought for change, Oyelade's models are at a state of rest waiting patiently for the arrival of "something" they greatly long for. What they longs for according to Oyelade was "a great future". The irony is that, unlike Queen Idia who fought during and before his son Ascension to the throne, they are waiting with a "substance" that can perish with time. peradventure their great future should arrive they don't have the substance strong enough to sustain and pass it to the other generation. He uses this to challenge individuals as well as Africa as a nation to not only wait for, they should fight, and not only that they most build system through which they can sustain enforce and transfer the change to the coming generation.

Born in 2002, Oyewole Tayo Oyelade is a young Nigerian artist. Oyewole's passion for art started at a young age, and he has since then honed his skills through various apprenticeships and formal education. Oyewole's artistic education started as an apprentice at Heritage Creations from 2014 to 2019, where he learned the intricacies of traditional art techniques. He later went on to study at Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic Eruwa, where he obtained a National Diploma in Fine Arts in 2022. Oyewole’s works are based around the trajectory of life. His works are thought provoking, soul stirring exploration of human lives and experiences and a journey into the depths of the human heart and soul. He effortlessly blends realism, surrealism and geometric abstraction with thought provoking landscapes embedded in the background. He paints the human skin in the form of a weaved basket.
