This title is from the song of the same name lots of artists have recorded the song but I believe Dr John ( Mac Rebenack ) was the first. I had nearly finished the picture when the title came into my head. So far as I know the title comes from New Orleans Voodoo, they call the Gilded Splinters the points of a Planet as they appear like little gilded splinters. The main image is my preferred orientation but it can be hung any way up and changes .subtly as it is turned on different sides. The sides are painted to chime with the picture. The picture is very discretely signed on the front signed and dated and title on back. This a new image as I have recently added gold leaf which I always intended but never got round to. I should add that the parts that look white on the image are in fact the gold leaf, I have tried to make a photo with the gold showing but so far I have failed.

This profle picture shows me at work in my studio, the work in progress is " Ink Mathmatics". As you can see my work is very varied in subject and style. The things that inspire me are words mostly from songs or poetry, a word a phrase. The pictures I hope speak for themselves, but I hope they have a narrative somehow and tell a story.I have been painting since childhood. For the past year I have worked exclusively in mixed media and my style and execution has evolved into a much more bold and individual realisation of my own artistic philosophy. The new profile photo shows my exhibition at The Soul Café and Restaurant, Kings Lynn
