About The Artwork
A happy warm glow emanates from the amber and golden tones of this very textural piece. The textures are achieved through a combination of construction adhesives, sand and portland cement. Its sides are painted, too, so framing is not necessary. It comes to you ready to hang, either vertically or horizontally.Very textural, from the use of reclaimed mortar. Painted in multiple layers for mysterious bits and nooks. Created on heavy canvas, the gallery wrapped edges are painted too, so the piece would not necessarily require framing. It arrives safely packed and wired, ready to hang. If you have need for a piece in a particular size or colour palette, I cheerfully welcome custom commissions. Surprisingly easy and fast. Lisa Bolin was raised on the western edge of Missouri in a small town drugstore. (And, yes, it did have a soda fountain.) Missouri is filled with honest and hard-working people, and Lisa adopted that strong work ethic which continues to propel her achievements to this day. A life-long journey as an artist has taken Lisa down many career paths: jewelry-making, graphic design, the realm of commercial photography, sculpting and painting. For the past two decades, Lisa has worked freelance as a set stylist or food stylist on high-profile food photography projects and TV commercials.
