About The Artwork

Spiral, as a main symbol of Evolution, has been chosen to express Man's relationship with Nature. The Evolution of the human spirit takes place from the inside out and requires constant upgrading. The texture of the spiral visualizes the individual's moment of awareness, as well as the process of realizing this interdependence with Nature, its phases and stages that go from denial and rejection to building and perfection. more: atelierixtys.com - One-of-a-kind Artwork - dimension: artwork- 20X20cm; frame- 29cm width/29cm height/3cm depth - white mat box frame - geometric - soft: fabric on painting canvas with stretched primed Italian fabric (70% cotton and 30% synthetics) and a wedged wooden frame made of softwood lumber - materials: hand died silk organza, digitally embroidered words and line work, hand beaded and stitched, felt - style- minimal, contemporary, 3D sculpture, design - colors- greens, cappuccino, beige, ivory, black

Dimana Nakova holds a Bachelor's Degree in Fashion & Textile Design from University of Technology Sydney, Australia. During her studies she interned with some Australian fashion designers and worked as a fashion designer assistant and a couture dressmaker for some of the most prestigious bridal boutiques in Sydney. In 2003, Dimana Nakova established her own label IXTYS (https://atelierixtys.com/) and opened a boutique in Sofia/ Bulgaria, Europe. The atelier produced couture wedding and ball gowns, evening and cocktail dresses. Since Spring 2013, Atelier Ixtys has focused on producing of semi-couture collections consisting of going out, cocktail and special occasion dresses. The limited edition collections are made of Italian fabrics and manufactured in Bulgaria. Since Spring 2023, Dimana Nakova has started a whole new approach to her fashion collections for IXTYS and has introduced One-of- a-kind textiles with each one of them. The textile art is meant for interior decorating, but also serves as a starting point and a concept for the created afterwards dresses. If needed, it is further adapted to the care requirements of a garment. The main techniques are hand stitched digital embroidery and beading, 3D. The textiles are originals, One-of- a-kind Artworks. Sustainability It is important for us to think sustainable and make sustainable choices. We make the effort to use excess designer fabrics for at least 90% of our production. Investing in technology, we have brought the embroidery process in our atelier and thus have insured minimal wastage of fabric and thread. Making the embroidery in the atelier requires less courier van transport then before. We use the embroidery threads of Madeira, a winner of The Sustainability Award. Even the smallest fabric remnants left after the cutting and the embroidery process are taken to H&M where they are being recycled.
